Keeping things organized
With visual programming like Kismet it's an absolute must to keep things organized as much as possible. Even in a beta game like Son of Argan you will find that it is impossible to make even the slightest changes. You'll spend hours searching for the right sequence Kismet offers you a few options that can help you in keeping your Kismet screen nicely organized.
- Comments in your Kismet screen
- Comments with objects
- Comment-wraps in your Kismet screen
- Sequences in your Kismet screen
Comments in your comment screen
By selecting the option "New Comment" by rightclicking in your Kismet screen you can insert a comment text. This comment will remain readable even if you zoom out or in. these comments are especially handy when your Kismet becomes large
Comments with objects

As seen in the image above it's possible to place a comment with a single object. You can set an objects comment my selecting it and type your comment in the properties section next to the option "ObjComment".
Especially with objects that refer to other objects it can be handy to give a comment that shows the name of the object that particular object is referring to.
Comment Wraps in your Kismet screen

Groups can be formed in Kismet by placing a Comment Wrap in the background of the objects. A comment wrap is a mere square in the background, and not something that 'holds' the objects ni it. A comment wrap can be placed by right clicking your Kismet screen and select New Comment (Wrap). It's also possible to select all the objects you want to be backed by a CommentWrap, and the select New Comment (Wrap). The selecvted objects will then have a large square in the background grouping them together.
In the top left corner a text comment can be placed. It's also possible to alter the Comment Wrap's color. In the bottom right corner of the Wrap a small triangular shaped figure can be seen. By dragging this corer the size of the wrap can be altered.
Sequences in your Kismet screen
In Kismet it's absolutely unneccesary to place all your objects in one single Kismet screen. With Remote Events it's easily possible to refer to objects in different places of your Kismet. By placing Sequences in your Kismet you create sort of a sub-folder in which you place any Kismet you want.
Example Kismet screen from Son of Argan
In the example below a small part of the Kismet from Son of Argan is shown. The first image shows the sequences (in total there are about 30 sequences build for Son of Argan beta). The numbers behind each sequence name shows how much Kismet objects are in that particular sequence.

In the second image (below) a screenshot from the sequence "QuestKismet" is seen. In the top row 6 comments are clearly seen. Further it's clearly visible that in this sequence about 30 Comment Wraps are placed. In total there are about 1200 Kismet objects in this sequence alone. Absolute must to keep things organized!
