Joris Olde Bijvank's UT3 and other Tutorials

Dear readers,

It is a long time since I updated this website. This is because I'm at the start of something new and exciting. If you read my biography, you already know that my heart belongs to the creation of computer games. Matthijs Rekers, Harold Lentink (the men who made www.olde-bijvank.com possible) and I are going into the computer games business.

Next to our full-time jobs and social life we decided that the little spare time that we got left is best spent doing the thing we love the most, creating computer games.

Our first game isn't officially announced yet, but I can tell you that we do our uttermost best to bring a great and fun user experience for our players. The name of our game is going to be "James D. Ant - Catching Crooks".

Please visit us at Ladybird Games.

Best regards,

Matthijs, Harold and Joris

You'll spend hours searching for the right sequence Kismet offers you a few options that can help you in keeping your Kismet screen nicely organized.

Importing WoW 3d models in UT3 Part 2

In the previous tutorial I have explained how to export M2 files from World of Warcraft and import them into Unreal Tournament 3. In this tutorial I will teach you the steps needed to import WMO models from World of Warcraft into Unreal Tournament 3. The export proces is totally different from the M2 tutorial. Because WMO models can contain lots of different materials on one model I have created an application to help with the proces of sorting out the order in which the materials should be applied to the model.

Importing Images for use in UI_scenes

In this tutorial I'm going to demonstrate the steps necessary to import textures into an UT3 package as materials. These imported materials could be used in any part of the UT3 editor the same way as the materials shipped with UT3 or its patches. With these materials it is possible to create a background for your UI_scene.

Making UI_scenes

In this tutorial we will make one single UI_scene

UI_scenes in UT3 are User Interface Scenes. So basicly what we are building with a UI_scene is nothing else then a menu screen. Our purpose in building those screens is communicating our storyline to the player.

Tutorial Implementing Multiple Quests in UT3
